Family Nutrition Center Foundation was created in the summer of 2008 as an off shoot of Lucille Beseler’s private practice, the Family Nutrition Center of South Florida. Ms. Beseler realized that a significant number of individuals that were referred to her practice for the treatment of obesity and other nutrition related diseases could not receive treatment due to (1) lack of insurance and the inability to pay, or (2) those who had insurance could not afford their co-pay, or (3) their insurance would not cover nutritional services. Lucille Beseler is passionate about TREATMENT for those children and families who have been forgotten; that is, today the government and policy makers are heavily focusing on prevention (an equally worthy cause), but what about the kids who are already obese and have several co-morbidities? Who will help them? Family Nutrition Center Foundation!
